Which Career Season Are You In?

Every career has its seasons, and each season is wonderful in its own way. I've found that when I'm clear on which season I'm currently in, it's easier to set goals and priorities. Here's how I think about the seasons....which one are you in?

Spring: The Seedling Stage

In this season, you're planting the seeds of your career. You might be fresh out of school and ready to learn and grow. This is the time to embrace new opportunities, connect with people, be visible (!), and soak in the knowledge. In this stage, you're laying down the roots and creating a foundation that will support your career growth.

Summer: The Growth Stage

This is when your career is in full bloom! You've gained experience, built a solid network, and are reaping the benefits of your hard work. The sun is shining on your professional path, and you're flourishing. Take this time to explore new projects, expand your skill set, and don’t be afraid to take risks!

Fall: The Transition Stage

Change is in the air. Whether it's a shift in your role, industry, or personal goals, Fall represents a season of transition. As you make way for new growth, you may need to let go of old habits or take on new challenges. Embrace the transformations and be open to the opportunities that come with change.

Winter: The Reflection Stage

Winter is a time of rest and reflection. It's okay to slow down, take stock of your achievements, and assess your goals. Maybe you're considering a career shift or further education. Use this season to recharge, plan for the future, and set the stage for the next spring in your career.
